15/11/2009 - Bloodchild longlisted forThe Wirral Paperback of the Year 2010
Bloodchild has been longlisted for The Wirral Paperback of the Year 2010. The Wirral Paperback of the Year has been running since 1995. Twenty titles, first published in paperback in the previous twelve months, are chosen by the Schools’ Library Service and copies sent to all the participating schools in October.
The titles are chosen from a variety of genres to have as wide an appeal as possible. Young people read and discuss the books in school, and are invited to meet three or four of the authors on the list at an event during the year.
Tim has agreed to attend the event this year, which will be held in the week beginning 8 March 2010 at Bebington in the Wirral. Tim will talk to groups of students and then individuals at informal question and answer sessions.
Tim said, 'It is a great honour to be longlisted for the Wirral Paperback of the Year. I am absolutely delighted.'
