06/01/2010 - Bloodchild longlisted for The North Lanarkshire Catalyst Book Award 2010
Bloodchild has been longlisted for The North Lanarkshire Catalyst Book Award 2010.
The Catalyst Book Award began in September 2004 as part of a wider teen reading initiative and is attended by pupils from Secondary Schools across North Lanarkshire. Each year pupils are encouraged to read and vote for their favourite title from a shortlist of four books. Previous winners include Bali Rai, Alan Gibbons and Theresa Breslin. This year's event will be held on the 28th Oct 2010.
From a longlist of 24 titles, Public and School Librarians on the Catalyst Committee select a shortlist with assistance from teen readers. Pupils will be discussing the longlist titles on their blog.
Tim said, 'It's a huge honour to be on the longlist for this award. I'm absolutely thrilled.'
