23/03/2010 - Tim talks about writing at The Scarborough Literature Festival Conference
Tim joined fellow authors Matt Whyman and Rebbecca Ray at the Scarborough Literature Festival Student Conference on Tuesday 23 March 2010. The Conference took place as part of the build up to the main Scarborough Festival, which takes place from 15-18th April 2010, and gave 60 young people, aged 16-18, the opportunity to explore their reading habits, share experiences and work with the authors.
Tim ran a workshop on Creativity and Critical Skills with A-level and AS-level English, drama and media studies students and took part in a group discussion hosted by writer and poet James Nash.
Tim said, 'The students were absolutely brilliant and produced some outstanding pieces of work.'
Tim is also appearing at the Scarborough Festival on Sunday April 18 where he will be talking about 'Dangerous Worlds' with James Nash.
The Festival organisers - North Yorkshire County Council's Library Service - also arranged for young people of all ages to get their hands on one hundred free copies of Blade: Playing Dead in the lead-up to the Scarborough Literature Festival.
