15/04/2010 - Bloodchild longlisted for the Southern Schools Book Award 2010
Tim has just received news that Bloodchild has been longlisted for the Southern Schools Book Award 2010. The Southern Schools Book Award is presented annually to the author of the book judged by students to have been the best book published for 13-14 year-olds during the year. Over 300 students from 40 schools in Kent and Sussex aged between 11-14 will read, review and vote for their favourite books from the longlist of 15 titles.
Previous winners have been Kate Cann, Michael Morpurgo, Eleanor Updale, Michelle Paver, Sophie McKenzie and also Tim for Frozen Fire in 2008.
Reading has already begun on the 2010 longlist. The Southern Schools Book Award Presentation Evening will take place on 14 January 2011.
