20/05/2010 - Bloodchild shortlisted for The 2010 Wirral Paperback of the Year Award.

Tim has just received news that Bloodchild has been shortlisted for The 2010 Wirral Paperback of the Year Award.

The titles were chosen from a longlist of 20 books, which young people read and discussed in schools. In addition, four authors, including Tim, were invited to talk to groups of students and individuals at informal question and answer sessions.

The full shortlist consists of:

Bloodchild - Tim Bowler
Unwind - Neal Shusterman
The kiss of death - Marcus Sedgwick
The Lady in the Tower - Marie-Louise Jensen

On 1 July 2010, representatives from each school will attend a final judging meeting to choose an overall winner.

Tim said, ‘I'm absolutely delighted and I'll look forward to hearing the final result on 1 July. There are some great books on the shortlist and I'm really pleased to be among them.'
