11/06/2010 - Bloodchild shortlisted for The 2010 Southern Schools Book Award

Tim has just received news that Bloodchild has been shortlisted for the 2010 Southern Schools Book Award. The titles were selected from a longlist chosen earlier in the year by librarians, teachers and students.

The full shortlist consists of:

Bloodchild - Tim Bowler
Grass – Cathy McPhail
Saving Raphael – Leslie Wilson
Stolen – Lucy Christopher
The Toymaker – Jeremy de Quidt

Students will start to read these in September with voting taking place in December. The 2010 presentation evening will be held on the 14th January, 2011 at Roedean School.

Previous winners have been Kate Cann, Michael Morpurgo, Eleanor Updale, Michelle Paver, Sophie McKenzie and also Tim for Frozen Fire in 2008.
