09/05/2011 - Tim visits Blundell's School in Tiverton
Tim visited Blundell’s School in Tiverton, Devon on Monday 9 May to run workshops and talk to the students. Tim has visited the school many times before. Tim Dyke, Head of the English Department, said the students were really fired up by the visit. After the event, Mr Dyke organised a competition for students to write a 50-word story in the style of Tim Bowler. The winning story by Alexander Kitson was:
As I ran towards the car I could hear the yells of the security guards on walkie-talkies, calling for backup. I jumped through the window and the car sped off. It was only then that I emptied my pockets and saw the gold and gems.
“Well done” said the Voice.
Tim said, ‘As always, it was a pleasure to be at Blundell’s School. The writers in the workshop did extremely well and I’m very impressed by Alexander’s story.’
