Tim has been invited by The British Council to visit Korea between 28 September and 8 October. Tim has worked with The British Council many times over the years in countries such as Croatia, Kazakhstan, Denmark and others, including his first trip to Korea back in 2001. This will be Tim’s third visit to Korea. His last visit was in 2008 following the huge success of River Boy in Korea, which became the number one bestseller in the country and remained in the bestseller lists for several months. Other titles published in Korea include Midget, Shadows, Starseeker, Frozen Fire, Bloodchild, Buried Thunder and the Blade series series.

Tim will be delivering several lectures in Korea: at the UK-Korea Children’s and YA Literature Conference, at Back-hyun Middle School, at the UK-Korea Literature Talk, at the Wow Book Festival, and at the Paju Booksori UK-Lit Day Book Concert. He will be covering themes such as ‘Teenagers and Books’, ‘Children’s Literature in a Competitive Society’, ‘Writing Stories and Life’ as well as discussing his own work and the inspiration behind it. In addition to this, he will be interviewed on video for Naver Bookshelf, the most influential portal site in Korea. He will also be visiting his Korean publishers Dasan Books during the trip.
