Tim visited Palmers Green High School in North London on Monday 18th March. He ran three separate workshops for Year 7, 8 and 9 students and gave readings from his novels, including a first reading from the book he is in the process of finalising with his editor Liz Cross.

Karen Conlon, School Librarian, said, ‘The girls really enjoyed meeting Tim and have certainly been inspired to not only read his books but also to try out their own creative talents! I have been inundated with requests to read his books since the visit!’

One of the Year 9 girls said, ‘We were so lucky to listen to Tim read the start of his new book – can you believe we were the first people ever to hear it?!’

Tim said, ‘The girls were brilliant. Year 7 were an author’s dream audience – please thank them for gasping so volubly in all the right places during the reading from Buried Thunder. Year 8 had fantastic questions that really made me think and Year 9 gave me a massive shot in the arm by giving me such positive feedback on the opening chapters of my current work-in-progress. So a huge thanks to all the girls for making the day so enjoyable.’
